Exploring the Reserve's Waterfalls
We always wanted to have a circuit through the forest which allows us to walk back from the river a different way than we came. After improving our old forest trail down to the river, Wilo started to work with our volunteers on a new trail leading back from the river to the station. 15 hectares are not so big, but when we actually started exploring the reserve to plan where we could built a new trail, we kind of got lost in our own forest… and we found two small waterfalls. So obviously we decided to built the new trail across these waterfalls. In rainy season when the river Pachijal is far too strong to go swimming, we now have these nice two waterfalls for having a shower.
